Scorecard

England's fifty came on the fifth delivery of the fifth over.

Off-spinner R Ashwin gave India the first breakthrough by dismissing Michael Lumb (1) in the fourth over after England were invited to bat.

Ashwin trapped Lumb leg before wickets at the score of 21.

Parwinder Awana made debut for India as Rohit Sharma failed to make the cut.

England have handed T20 debut to off-spinner James Tredwell.
