PORT ELIZABETH: South Africa won the toss and chose to bat first in the series-deciding Twenty20 international against New Zealand at St. George's Park on Wednesday.

The home team made one change after New Zealand's eight-wicket win in East London on Sunday to level the series, calling in Justin Ontong in place of out-of-form opening batsman Richard Levi.

That means captain Faf du Plessis could move up the order to open alongside Henry Davids, with Ontong slotting into the middle order.

New Zealand kept faith with the same team after Martin Guptill's brilliant century set up a final-ball win last weekend.

Another New Zealand victory will ensure newly appointed Black Caps captain Brendon McCullum starts his tenure with a series win in South Africa.
