Watson's unbeaten knock came off 53 balls and was studded with 4 sixes and 13 fours as Rajasthan chased down the 145-run target in 17.5 overs.

Thisara Perera had Rajasthan Royals captain Rahul Dravid caught by Hanuma Vihari at deep mid-wicket.

Dravid hit a six and 4 fours in his 36-run knock that came off 35 balls and added 74 runs with Shane Watson after the early dismissal of Ajinkya Rahane.

Dale Steyn struck in the third over by having Ajinkya Rahane caught behind by Kumar Sangakkara.

Earlier, Sunrisers Hyderabad recovered from 29/6 to give Rajasthan Royals a challenging target of 145 runs.

Darren Sammy hit a 41-ball 60 before falling leg before wicket to James Faulkner, who ended up with 5/20.

Hyderabad lost their eighth wicket when Ajinkya Rahane took a fine running catch at long-off to dismiss Ashish Reddy off Stuart Binny.

James Faulkner took his fourth wicket by ending Amit Mishra's resistance.

Mishra (21) added 58 vital runs with Darren Sammy before his mistimed shot was caught by Kevon Cooper off Faulkner.

The stand between Mishra and Sammy came after Hyderabad were tottering with six wickets down after just seven overs.

Rajasthan spinner Ajit Chandila struck on the fifth ball of the first over when he had Hyderabad opener Akshath Reddy caught by Shane Watson.

James Faulkner struck twice in his first over by dismissing Hyderabad captain Kumar Sangakkara and opener Shikhar Dhawan.

Faulkner first had Sangakkara caught by Shane Watson at first slip and two balls later dismissed Dhawan as Ajinkya Rahane took a sharp catch at backward point.

Faulkner struck again in his next over when he had Karan Sharma caught by Brad Hodge at third man.

As if this was not enough, Chandila struck in his third over when he had Thisara Perera caught by Kevon Cooper at long-on to reduce Hyderabad to 19/5.

Cooper then struck on his first ball when he had Hanuma Vihari caught down the leg side by wicket-keeper Dishant Yagnik.

The breakthroughs came after Hyderabad captain Kumar Sangakkara won the toss and chose to bat.

Rajasthan have brought in Sachin Baby in place of Rahul Shukla.

Hyderabad have replaced Quinton de Kock, Cameron White and Thalaivan Sargunan with Sangakkara, Thisara Perera and Akshath Reddy.
