Tri-series: India ask Sri Lanka to bat

NEW DELHI: Indian skipper Virat Kohli won the toss and elected to bowl against Sri Lanka in the third ODI of the tri-series at Sabina Park in Kingston on Tuesday.

Kohli said it was a great honour for him to lead the India side. He was appointed skipper as MS Dhoni was ruled out due to injury.

India replaced Dhoni and Bhuvneshwar Kumar with Murali Vijay and Shami Ahmed.

Sri Lanka, on the other hand, dropped Jeevan Mendis and Ajantha Mendis and brought in Kusal Perera and Senanayake.
