NEW DELHI: The Mumbai Indians-Otago Volts clash of the Champions League was abandoned without a ball being bowled at the Sardar Patel Stadium, Motera, Ahmedabad on Monday.

Both teams shared two pints each. Earlier during the day, the Liosn-Perth tie was also washed out due to heavy rain.

Otago Volts were high on confidence after three consecutive wins in the qualifiers. Their strong wins against Sunrisers Hyderabad (by 5 wkts), Kanurata Maroons (by 6 wkts) and Faisalabad Wolves (by 8 wkts) have given them the momentum.

MI, on the other hand, have some catching up to do after their seven-wicket loss to the Royals.
