Game changer - Brendan Taylor: Made to measure

If you happen to stumble upon Brendan Taylor's Facebook page, one particular post gets your immediate attention -a photo of him slamming a South African bowler over mid-wicket, with AB de Villiers' worried eyes following the ball from first slip. The caption to the picture, which Taylor claims isn't his, reads: "Just missed it but 93 isn't bad I guess."

In a team of no-hopers, Taylor is one Zimbabwean who has managed to look the opposition in the eye. He has struck six hundreds and nine half-hundreds in his 161-match ODI career. Add to that the fact that he keeps wickets and if not that, he can chip in with some handy off-spin.

Taylor's highest ODI score -145 -came against a quality South African attack at Bloemfontein in 2010. He has also notched up centuries against New Zealand, Sri Lanka and Zimbabwe's perennial sparring partner Bangladesh.
